Latest Expedition News -July 14, 1998

The Iturralde Expedition is now slated to leave the United States October 18 for Bolivia and to be in Bolivia for approximately two weeks. The latest communication between Bolivian and NASA scientists further firms up the team to consist of meteoriticists, a computer support technician from NASA, and several Bolivian biological scientists. Time is becoming of the essence for a 1998 expedition since the wet season is coming soon which would make travel into the region dicey.
