The investigation uses real time data from the United States Forest
Service to identify fire risk regions and to understand the role
of meteorological conditions and vegetation in predicting fire
risk in the United States.
Outcome:
The learner will:
identify what conditions are ideal for possible ignition and the
states that are most commonly affected by forest fires
utilize a variety of real time data from the Internet to establish
fire risk.
analyze graphs showing many variables to find regions at risk
