Who's Steering our Weather?
- Abstract:
- Students will compare an animation showing a series of locations
for the jet stream with locations of high (H) and low (L) pressure
systems for the same time period.

- Students will be able to:
- use data to evaluate a hypothesis
- use computers
- use current technology to study the atmosphere
- investigate meteorological phenomena
- demonstrate the ability to summarize data, investigative results,
scientific concepts, and processes through written communication
- compare and contrast data

- Suggested Grade Level & Duration:
- Grades 5-8; 1 to 2 45-minute class periods

- Internet-capable computer, Netscape browser, student handout and map , and colored pencils to code map.
